How it works: Hire a writer

If you don't know where to start and you need a thought partner, I recommend my optional 1-hour $50 strategy session. This is especially helpful for people and businesses who have not yet fully mapped out their content  direction.

When you hire content writers, we usually deliver project briefs to have you fill out with as much detail as possible. The more detail you give, the better I can paint your vision with words. This is a crucial step to ensure that the ultimate writing piece aligns with your goals.

From here, I get to work. I'll incorporate all the details you submitted in the project brief and I'll write, rewrite, and write again. I'll look at industry trends, competing organizations or professionals, and best practices to write your project.

Throughout the process, I may contact you with questions to make sure I am on the right track. It is very important that you answer these questions thoughtfully as the answers will be represented in the final piece.

You will receive the first draft within or before the date we agreed on. I may also set a small virtual meet-up with you to present to you the writing piece and how all the ideas fit together.

Homework time! Now that you have your writing, it is up to you to make sure you give a critical view of the  work. Think back to your original request and compare it to the brief. You will have 2 opportunities to edit the work. This is the last part to how it works.
